To date, we have been to 49 countries. Our all-time favorite trip, so far, was a safari in Africa. (Ask me to show you the absolutely incredible picture that I took of a leopard in a tree.) We especially love to go on cruise vacations. We have been on 26 cruises with a number of different cruise lines. Our favorite cruises have been the Baltic capitals, the Panama Canal, a 21-day cruise from Chile in South America to San Francisco, CA, and a 45-day cruise from Australia/New Zealand through Asia, ending in Hong Kong. (Be sure to ask me about eating our way through the night market in Bangkok. Delicious!) In November of 2021, we will be departing from Dubai on a cruise to various ports in India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore. (The Taj Mahal has been on our list to visit for quite some time!) Our phenomenal 81-day cruise from February-May 2020 on the Norwegian Spirit from Rome to Dubai to Cape Town to Singapore to Hong Kong to Tokyo, with lots of very interesting stops like Jordan, Oman, Israel, Egypt, Madagascar, Mauritius, Phuket, Malaysia, Reunion, the Seychelles and many others was disrupted due to the coronavirus outbreak. (It’s not every day that you can say you got stuck at sea for 17 days on a cruise ship off the coast of Africa!) So, we are looking forward to making up some of the lost ports on a 19-day adventure from Dubai to Cape Town on the NCL Jade. Oh, and if you haven't been to Iceland yet, you may want to consider adding it to your list. (We love Iceland so much that anytime we fly or cruise to Europe, we try to route through Iceland!) We also LOVE to scuba dive. We both retired from careers in law enforcement. If you are an active or retired LEO, please let us know. We love to take care of our brothers and sisters in blue. Both of our families have a long tradition of service to our country, dating back to the Revolutionary War. We support our troops, both active and retired.
